A Thanksgiving Day Prayer
Lord, so often times, as any other day When we sit down to our meal and pray We hurry along and make fast the blessing Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing We’re slaves to the olfactory overload We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold But Lord, I’d like to take a few minute more To really give thanks to what I’m thankful for For my family, my health, a nice soft bed My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head I’m thankful right now to be surrounded by those Whose lives touch me more than they’ll ever possibly know Thankful Lord, that You’ve blessed me beyond measure Thankful that in my heart lives life’s greatest treasure That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place And I’m ever so grateful for Your unending grace So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You’ve provided And bless each and every person invited Scott Wesemann

For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends. Ralph Waldo Emerson

We don't know just how many days we don't know how many hours So lets not waste too many All too soon we'll be pushing up the flowers.
Every second lets make it count Mean what we say and say what we mean You'll never get to heaven if you break a heart and who cares if you haven't got a bean. Maggiemay

Thanksgiving
The year has turned its circle, The seasons come and go. The harvest all is gathered in And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures, The fields, their yellow grain, So open wide the doorway --- Thanksgiving comes again!

There but for the grace of God go I
Lookin' down through tide of no return, is a field where the crops no longer grow. parched is the land, strangled and bedamned, Therefore the grace of God go I.
Down beside where the riverbed sleeps, is a man not knowing what he should feel. mocked by the wave that beats the water's edge, Therefore the grace of God go I.
If I ever harked another like thee again, I would drown myself beneath your name. Lost was the child we all once did hide, Therefore the grace of God go I.

This is a famous lyric but we should be gald that we have the chance to:-
Another day, another dollar That's what I'm working for today Another day, another dollar Sure can't buy my blues away
I'm just trying to make a living Working jobs that I enjoy But it ain't easy finding something For this lonesome-hearted boy
Another day, another dollar That's what I'm working for today Another day, another dollar Sure can't buy my blues away
You know my life is like a highway Just too many roads to take You know I'll try to take the right one Just gets harder every day Alison Krauss
