When you gave me a shoulder to cry on
and when you lent me your ear
I couldn't have stood without you
as it was all much more than I could bear.

My arms were left empty and my heart was broke
Children crying and relatives on the phone
You held me together with cups of tea and a nod
There is no way I could have survived on my own

You put your life so completely on hold
And Thank You doesn't seem anywhere near enough
I will never forget your love and friendship
I couldn't have done it with out you it's been far to rough!
