Easter Poems

Easter Poems are poignant reminders of this iconic very special death of the man called Jesus Christ. It is one of the most important dates of the Christian Calendar. It is also celebrated as the fasting of Lent comes to an end. These are free for you to use for non commercial purpose.

Easter Poems

**

The tomb of Christ is but the bed
He rested on three days.
Easter morn He rose again,
The flower of our spring.
On Him, arisen from the dead,
Must we, though flesh decays,
Bestow our faith that when we die
Our souls, like His, shall not long lie
Forsaken in our tomb.
Christ shall, with deep affection, when
He sees our soul's affliction, then
Redeem us with His pain.
In His eternal suffering
Shall we find grace enough to bring
The seed of faith to bloom.

Easter comes but once a year

Easter comes but once a year
But when it does, we all know its here
Children filling themselves with chocolate
Dad's down the pub for a pint of beer!

We go to the church for the wine and bread
Dad's half asleep, and jerking his head
Baby sister is here too, munching away
On the free Easter egg that the Priest gave us today

But remember we must, that the Lord died for us
And ascended into heaven to give us fresh lives
For each and every one of us.

Easter poems

The loss of perfect life by Adam
Left God sad and full of strife
Free will that Adam had been given
he then went and blamed the wife.

That woman that you gave me
it's her that is to blame
"Who is he to tell us what to do"
She came to me with that false claim.

I should have thought clearer
and I know now that it's too late
We will have to take the punishment
and be prepared to take our fate.

We will always and forever be very sorry
Whilst we slave away and toil
That we had the perfect chance for all mankind
To you the one and only we weren't loyal

So Thank You for sending Jesus
You sent down your only begotten Son,
To pay the price and buy us back
The ultimate honor absolutely bar none.

Bless this day the joy of life,
The revelation of the flesh,
The paradise of man and wife
Joined to share the gift of bliss.
Bless this day the pain of life,
The passion that redeems the flesh,
The love between a man and wife
Beyond all agony and bliss.
Bless this day the end of life,
The peace within the dying flesh,
The bond between a man and wife
That long outlasts their bit of bliss.
Bless this day the whole of life,
The grace of being more than flesh,
The voyage of a man and wife
Across the mystery of bliss.

Easter is the demonstration of God that life is
essentially spiritual and timeless.
Charles M. Crowe

Sing to the Lord a new song!
For flowers and bunnies and
birds that sing.
We thank you, Lord,
for everything.

Blessings on You at Easter
